Just used one on a very wet trip to NH. Very water “proof” but did not
breath well at all. Also, the thin material ripped way too easily at the
elbow after I slipped on a rock. I finished the trip with stylish duct tape
repair. At least I didn’t pay $150 for it.

Hi!!
I´ve understood that you use a S with this jacket and had also space for
layers. I´m thinking about buy this jacket and that was my doubt, if take a
M or a S. Could you tell me your size for make me and idea?? Thanks and

No it was not sweat. Yes, everybody say about excellent waterproof quality
of precip products and that’s why I was so bad surprised of it. I’m just
sharing my experience. But I will keep on using marmot stuff because i
really like it and want to try minimalist jacket, I suppose it will be ok!
TheOutdoorGearReview
Nope. Sure doesn’t.

Another great review, very helpful! I am tired of paying for expensive
jackets ($600) that come apart and top layers of fabrics peel apart after a
few months in very bad weather. I have just found these on sale and will
get a couple, thanks! Also what do you have any recommendations/favorites
for waterproof pants?
TheOutdoorGearReview
I’ve enjoyed these jackets. Great bang for the buck.

That’s interesting indeed. I’ve had mine out in the rain many times and
haven’t had any issues. You said your back was moist, was it sweat? These
jackets don’t breathe as well as gore-tex (naturally for the price) and
that may be what you experienced. 99% of the reviews on the net for this
jacket praise it and that includes my own. Thanks for your input.
