This is a gear review of the Outdoor Products “Arrowhead” internal frame backpack (sometimes called Arrowhead 8.0). This video is part 1 of the review. I dis…
I have one of theses bags that I purchased back in 2010 and it has been to
the jungles of Peru, all over Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. I
am a large guy and wear 2xl clothing and I pack 5-6 pair of pants, 7-8
shirts, 10 pair of socks and 10 pair of underwear, along with personal care
items, a few snacks, flashlight, water purifier, a snugpak jungle bag, and
an extra pair of shoes lashed to the outside. I just came back from 27 days
in Peru and had to do a little sewing on my straps, so I thought I would
just buy another. My bag has a doubled bottom and the material is much
thicker than the new one. I love the design, but the quality is not what it
was. I thought about sending my old back back for the warranty, but I am
afraid they will send me a new one. Awesome bag, but the quality is not as
well as before.

hey did you ever make part 2 field test? great review! I saw it at Wal
mart, and I’m new to backpacking, so I thought it might be cheap-o Wally
World crap! Glad to see it’s quality!

Thanks for the video. I took this bag with me on a trip overseas in
October and 1st 2 weeks of November. Lifetime guarantee is definite bonus!
Great Bag, very durable, light weight. Pockets for passport, water quick
access items.
The ability to cinch the bag top to bottom and front to back is helpful. I
wish they sold it with the water blatter included–Help me make it through
Europe and Africa and looks good.

Great review and love the pets! I respect a man who has his pets free
ranging in and out of the videos to see what Daddy is doing. I was
concerned about the lower side pockets as I was planning on using them for
water bottle, so your review really helped out. Also, I prefer the large
inner pocket (a hold-over from my ALICE pack glory days). I use
color-coded waterproof gear bags to separate stuff out. Thanks for the
first-rate and entertaining review.

Thanks for the video. I have just one question. Will a 2 feet hydration
reservoir is enough for this backpack?
